Why didn't someone tell you that leading a team of people can be harder than changing a tire? Most leaders want to build a team of people that respects each others personalities, strengths and eccentricities. And then you have to get the job done. It's not easy.
As a certified coach, I have found that using tools like the Mastery of BE-DO-HAVE and Circle Process can help leaders move forward to discover what they want in a team and how to achieve it. A leader often needs a silent partner, like a coach, to develop the muscles that can build them into the leader that everyone wants to work for. I had the opportunity to be an officer and leader in strategic communications. I know what it feels like to have people stop talking when you walk into a room. I also know that it's possible to keep them talking and innovating long after you leave the room.
